Greetings My International BrotherlySisterhood
and Global Kinetisphere of Music Lovin' Humans,
Karl Perazzo (Santana) laid down roasting timbales on the giant "Right About The Here and Now". This tune also features Mic Gillette and Johnnie Bamont (Santana, Rolling Stones, Tower Of Power) playing the 7-part horn arrangement. Eenor and Eric Mcfadden came by in January and laid down various guitar musings. Geoff Pearlman came in March from L.A. to play guitar and lapsteel on few tunes. Geoff is a fine guitarist and recently caught the ear of Norah Jones as a potential guitarist in her touring band. Jon Evans, in addition to mixing "Several Times A Day", has played bass on four songs and sounds killer. It looks like June 1st will be a viable time to get the record mixed. From there I'll master and get it duplicated for a July 1st release. sound possible? u decide and let me know.. I'll be workin' in the lab if you need me... Tough Mama Gig in Seattle December Show: Well the fantastic Sheelah Doherty of Seattle Washington has echoed to me the apparant ambient love alive and well in the ether for the historic combo occasionally known as Tough Mama. She has suggested we play for her annual food drive show in December. Sheelah has been doing this show for years and collects food, feeds people, participates in her community and does simple things that help in big ways. .. madness I tell you. Obviously Tough Mama ended in the early 90's and the pieces spread all over music making creation. While history has a way of repeating itself when it gets nervous.. I stand by the fact that nostalgia is the devil's hanky and would not embark on a campaign of retro-action but for one guiding fact... and if you said cash go to back of the line.. simple fact are that we all love to play together regardless of time passed. We are glad to rip the timbers outta any place given just about half a chance orcage match any band with a mandolin in it. We are still forming up the particulars but it looks like early December at The Tractor in Seattle.. bring a can o food and your loose, happy arse. |
